He doesn’t have to back up the claim. He’s admitting to a damaging fact: thousands of tons of enriched uranium were left in Saddam Hussein’s possession with nothing but a bungling, corrupt and incompetent inspection team standing in the way of his using them.

Saddam was not disarmed. Plain and simple.

I don’t remember the justification for the war being forcibly removing the known pre-1991 material under IAEA seal and inspection.

Yes he does and so do you. You and he can't post this information with absolutely no proof. Put up or shut up.

I have issues with the assertion that all the yellow cake
was tagged in 1991 and then subsequently “monitored” by
the IAEA. The amounts are in dispute. I’ve read articles
that say 330 tons were tagged and sealed, yet 550 tons
are reported to have been shipped to Canada (Islams new
staging area for invasion of and nuclear threat to the United
States).

I’m just sayin’...

"...He’s admitting to a damaging fact: thousands of tons of enriched uranium were left in Saddam Hussein’s possession with nothing but a bungling, corrupt and incompetent inspection team standing in the way of his using them."

Be careful with this. Iraq did not have any significant quantities of enriched uranium at a level suitable for weapon grade use (atomic bomb). What he had was a lot of yellowcake ore which is a mid step which can be through a acidification process be converted to UF6 (which typically is then stored in a gas form in special containers).
The gas is then introduced into parallel cascaded gas centrifuges where sufficient quantities of U235 atoms can be extracted and stored.
Depending how efficient this later process can be obtained, defines how much fission grade uranium can be extracted. Typically we read on the order of 87% or greater constitutes a mass that would be considered adequate for use in making a bomb. Typically 6 to say 12% (whatever...) would be sufficient for using in fuel rods for nuclear reactors for generating electricity.
What is clear beyond fact is that he had every intention to restore his nuclear weapons program once in the future the sanctions where lifted.
By all indications with what we have been reading over the past few years, is where his people where patiently obtaining various pieces of equipment from abroad to in the future assemble a reliable manufacturing process capable of producing atomic bombs.
And they played cat and mouse with the weapon inspector teams over the years to shuffle documents and equipment from one place to another.
Had sanctions been lifted and all inspectors been removed, they would have eventually made an atomic bomb.
Same scenario was found in their bio/chemical weapons programs. Precursors where stored illegally for eventual use for making say VX nerve gas. There was no need to manufacture the final product. And these are points the L/MSM have knowingly keeped out of their articles over the years. In short. They lied.
