Did the LDS Church ever copyright the Temple Ceremony?
- I was told the Mormon Temple Ceremony was too sacred to be disclosed to the extent required to obtain a copyright.
- I was told the Mormon Temple Ceremony was could not be copyrighted because of the extent it was plagiarized from the Masonic Rites.
- I was told the LDS Church was afraid of the public outcry that would ensue if the public ever learned the Mormon Temple Ceremony:
- Mocked Christian pastors as "hirelings of Satan"
- Featured the wearing a fig leaf apron to symbolize Satan’s power and priesthoods
- Had Lucifer teach Mormon church doctrine
- Portrayed Satan as "the god of this world"
- Offered prayers to the devil – "Oh god, hear the words of my mouth"
- Praised Satan by chanting Hebrew words in the ceremony whose translation is "Marvelous Lucifer"
- Showed Lucifer as able to defy Elohim’s commands without consequence
- Prayed for the violent overthrow of the US Government
- I was told the ones who disclosed the Mormon Temple Ceremony would have their throats slit from ear to ear, their tongues ripped from their throats, and their hearts and vitals ripped from their bodies -- and the LDS Church did not want this to see this happen to their brothers and sisters.
- I was told non-Mormons would be cursed with death (and/or blindness) if they ever watched a presentation of the Mormon Temple Ceremony such as this one, and the LDS Church was afraid of the barrage of lawsuits that would ensue.
I was therefore confident the Mormon Temple Ceremony has not been and never will be copyrighted. I would appreciate it if you would provide links or other citations showing if any of the above understandings are wrong.
