There were parts of the movie where I wept like a baby.
Donald Crisp deserved the Oscar he won for his role as Mr Morgan.
The book is much darker, showing the gradual disinagration of the village.
Donald Crisp was wonderful. I always enjoyed the Lassie series as well as anything else Crisp was in. Love, M
