A 17-year-old South Carolina boy on an church outing was killed Saturday when he was struck by the popular "Batman the Ride" at Six Flags Over Georgia. It was the second Batman ride-related death at the Cobb County park.

BTW, what’s up with that tag line?
“I’ll join bigcinbigd in his ‘little world’.”
Little is a relative term. There is still plenty of room for more in that “small” place. Please, enjoy yourself.
"In future please try to avoid the vulgarity. It shows a weak mind."
What is this thing you have with moving vehicles and fences? Do you own a fence company or something? Fences are not the answer to all problems.
So you would censor speach you do not agree with? I'm sure Obama would welcome your input much more than I. Free speach is a curse you will just have to live with. The fact we do not share the same definition of “compassion” pleases me to no end.
“Authorities were investigating reports from witnesses who said the teenager jumped the fences to retrieve a hat he lost while riding the Batman roller coaster, said Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce. Three security guards were keeping visitors away from the ride on Saturday.”

If the difference between a home invader being killed for breaking into a home and a church kid killed while foolishly trying to retrieve their hat that may have fallen from an amusement park ride escapes you then I doubt you are capable of discerning much in this area.
You and little Dallas are a match I agree. I bet you laughed all thru Old Yeller. (if someone yer age knows what that is)
nice pic actually Fred...lol
If you have the mental capacity to comprehend the remark I posted you may realize that there was never an indication of censoring your right to free speech. You are the one that reported my post to the authorities to have my right to free speech curtailed.
Just as you have the right to express your opinions, I have the right to disagree and express my disagreement.
You of course, want to ensure that the truth about you is never expressed, so you feign indignation and cry that your sensibilities have been torn asunder and only the authorities can rectify this great insult to your intelligence.
That course of action sounds more like of a path that Obama would take.
"The fact we do not share the same definition of compassion pleases me to no end."
1. A deep awareness of and sympathy for another's suffering.
2. The humane quality of understanding the suffering of others and wanting to do something about it.
Can you provide your definition?
Or a dare - ‘can you stand there without flinching’?
Those things make a bit of noise when they come at you - most folks would have ducked.
“I bet you laughed all the way through “Old Yeller”.
Reminds me of the old Country song with the lyrics:
“She never cried when Old Yeller died
and she wasn’t a John Wayne man”
And I agree 100% with your post.
Thanks....BBF.
btw ...I was just in Texas with my two oldest boys visiting my uncle at his farm in the NE near Gilmer-Gladewater.
Hot...whew and sticky.
I had not been to TX in 8 years and yet as a boy I went there more than anywhere.
We stopped at Vicksburg on the way down near where my family has been 200 years and did the military park....the kids loved it. I had not seen it in decades.
But man.....the Visitors Center was very very PC...worse than if a south hating freeper had designed it..lol
I left the center in disgust trying to explain the problem to my kids....the usual unteaching all that drivel that get bombarded with.
You probably dont have that good of a memory.
My memory is accurate on this point.
While under such attacks I have not responded in kind, even though several times I was one click away from lowering myself to the level many (but not all) on this thread occupy. As for those that attack others solely because they have different views from their own, I am sure your unreasoned and emotional attacks would be cheered and lauded by the lemmings at DU.
I know from personal experience that life is a precious gift that can be taken away. While most of you were watching O.J. run up the freeway in 1994, I was watching my newborn son die from Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He never left the hospital - that is tragic. Not because I experienced it, but because it was beyond anyone's control, and he was truly innocent. Forgive me for not getting all broken up when a young man chooses to do something stupid that costs him his life. I will save my sympathy for the innocent, the unfortunate and the deserving.
Flame me if you want, because I don't value most of your opinions anyway.
In both cases there are signs that say 'Keep Out'. We live in a rule based society. Break the rules and face the consequences.
(is that hat theory yours?)
Nope.
Just at the end.
Your bitterness is going to kill you. I have totoal empathy for what has happened to you so I’m not going to engage you any longer. I will offer prayers for you, although you probably don’t care or want them. Why? Because you are a human being deserving of sympathy and love. We all are. The innocent as well as the “stupid” as you say. The young, the old, and the testosterone filled male teens who for a temporary period of time in their lives - miscalculate and and have less fear of things that should be feared.
Peace be with you - and I mean that sincerely.
The ability to love a cherished pet who at the end of it's life is blind, suffering and in great pain. Then taking it out in the woods and shooting it in the head.
Now please do not post to me again. I find your arguments, attitude and use of the language offensive and a bit painful to read.
