I really don’t get what this is all about.

Joe Biden said Obama was “articulate”, which is codespeak for a black person who speaks English properly. So that was supposed to be a compliment-a good thing, right?

Then Nader criticizes Obama for being “articulate” because he views it as not authentic.

From what I’ve heard and read, when black people speak English properly, they are scorned by their peers because it’s “acting white”. Black school children who do well in school are scorned because getting good grades is “acting white”.

So is it a good thing or bad thing if you say Obama speaks English well? This is getting ridiculous.

Of course it is.

Joe Biden said Obama was “articulate”...

Joe Biden's opinion is as irrelevant as he is. I can't believe Obama is even considering him as a running mate.

As far as articulate, Obama can read a teleprompter but I think McCain will shred him if it comes to a real one on one debate. I'm sure they will have to use the racism card on McCain at some point.

I think Nadar is making the point that Obama is putting up a phony front just to get elected. I agree with him on that one point.
