“... His political and religious stuff rubbed me the wrong way...”

I loved George Carlin when he was on the Ed Sullivan Show (yes I am an aging boomer). He was clean and he was funny. I started not liking him when he started bashing Catholics (I am sorry he didn’t agree with the Church, but it was totally disgusting and uncalled for). Rest in peace anyway.

You mean I'm not the only one?

Both Carlin and Richard Pryor were hilarious way back on the Sullivan show when they had to be clean. Then they got "edgy" and stopped being funny while everyone else started raving about what "geniuses" they were.
