” Probably the culture would be overly regimented in too many ways for me. I don’t know. “

I’ve been here 22 years . Love/hate relationship ...same as it would be at home in Amnesia ...Obviously , each culture has its +/- points ...Who is to say which has more or fewer + ? If the Japanese would embrace Christianity on a helluva lot larger scale all would be much , much better all the way around ...

There are some precious Japanese Christians. I know a missionary who does summer things there. Speaks the language etc. Used to live there—maybe as a military brat.

Are you aware of the theory that traces Japanese to Abraham? Fascinating stuff. I think it’s on the web. Some words, religious practices etc. are evidently remarkably Jewish.

I sure loved my time in Taiwan and China. Yeah, each culture has it’s pluses and minuses. But in a lot of ways, I fit better there than here—much more relational there.

I love that. Though it can also be maddening at times.

Be safe vis a vis quakes! Where are you?
