“...he supported Bill Clinton with both Ginsberg [sic] and Breyer.
The effervescence of good feeling is just bubbling through my heart.
Wait, no! That’s CO2. Cap ‘n trade me, McCain.
Hmm.
Typical.
Thanks for the clarification! : )
The 80-10 vote was his nomination to the Court of Appeals in 1980 (I only know that because I checked Wiki since they aren’t usually wrong on simple numeric information).
Yes. It wasn’t until Charles Schumer that they got the idea to reject nominees simply because they didn’t like their politics.
I doubt the republicans will return the favor, although they should, on principle, for the next 8 years.
In other words, for the next 8 years, there should not be a single year where the republicans allow more nominees through the senate than the democrats allowed during the 8 years of Bush.
Finally, the voice of reason!
I believe that McCain, like so many of the other traitors he runs with on both sides, simply doesn’t give a damn.
They haven’t given damn for decades.
For some reason, I was led to believe that he could be relied on to pick a justice who could be trusted with the constitution. If mccain’s taste in justices is identical to obama’s, this is yet another reason for me not to care which of the two are elected.
