Tim Russert-— Overweight overworked, he was just working too hard, he was addicted to politics
He just got back from a quick vacation from Italy. My guess is some feasting in Italy pushed his underlying condition into the red zone and killed him. What a shame. He was fairly honest and straight forward
Survivors include Russerts wife, Maureen Orth, a writer for Vanity Fair magazine, whom he met at the 1976 Democratic National Convention; and their son, Luke.
Tom Brokaw gave MSNBC viewers the news at 3:40 p.m. “He worked to the point of exhaustion so many weeks,” Brokaw said, adding: “This news division will not be the same without his strong, clear voice.”
That’s exactly what I thought.
I noticed that part about Italy also. I’m not a medical person but could it have been caused by a deep vein thrombosis from the flight the day before?
I can't tell you how often I would say this to myself. I'll bet he never got more than 4 hours sleep a night.
