Adding my prayer. Nobody deserves to die that young.
Not to be callous at a time like this (yes, I'm saddened that Mr. Russert has died), but if you're praying, you're probably a Christian (just the odds).
And if you're a Christian, I remind you that each day is a gift from our Creator and that
"Man's days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed" - Job 14:5
Given our propensity to violate God's character every day, we don't deserve much of anything. It's only by God's grace that we take our next breath, and wake up the next day.
Hopefully, for our sake between our birth and death, we have resolved our debt of moral offenses before our Creator by believing on Jesus of Nazareth - that his death, burial and resurrection - will save us from our certain judgment.
I'm trying to insert some Biblical clarity, that's all.
