Where do you get these whacked-out statements?
I don't know of any adults that are on any type of medication, except one who is diabetic and a couple in their 90s.
By the way it was reported this week that the life-expectancy of we terribly obese, unhealthy Americans just increased. It was higher, and is even higher now, than many those nations who practice those ‘alternative’ diets you alluded to.
More than half of Americans on chronic meds
Blood pressure, cholesterol drugs are most widely used, new study shows

“TRENTON, N.J. - For the first time, it appears that more than half of all Americans are taking prescription medicines regularly for chronic health problems, a study shows.
The most widely used drugs are those to lower high blood pressure and cholesterol problems often linked to heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
The numbers were gathered last year by Medco Health Solutions Inc., which manages prescription benefits for about one in five Americans.”

I would proffer that if Mr. Russert had less of the “four food groups” and more “alternative diet” he would still be with us.
