If he is 83 now, he would have been 20 when the war ended. While I have no time for the atrocities that happened in Germany before and during WWII, I have a hard trouble accepting him as a “war criminal” based on his age.
No one is accusing him of being a war criminal, that's up to his home country, wherever that is, who I suspect is disinterested.
The issue is his citizenship and illegal entry.
I'm open to amnesty under some conditions, not for SS members I admit, but what are you suggesting, in terms of time and criminal activity.

Besides, age has bupkes to do with "war criminal". When does he stop being one? 41? How about 43? 65? He retires from being a Nazi? He graduates to from Momser to Pillar of Society because he got older?
Spare me. This man lived a long life .. longer than millions of Jews that he and his ilk slaughtered, did. They didn't graduate, they died with numbers on their arm.
