If he was born in Hawaii in 1961 to his American citizen mother...then the case is closed regarding his legal ability to run for President as a natural-born citizen..
The other issue is: what if he wasn't born in 1961, but was really born before August 21, 1959 - before statehood?

but was really born before August 21, 1959 - before statehood Which if true would be irrelevant.

The other issue is: what if he wasn't born in 1961, but was really born before August 21, 1959 - before statehood? It would be a non-issue for the same reason that McCain's birth in the Panama Canal Zone is a non-issue: birth in a territory then under jurisdiction of the United States.
