The most glaring inaccuracy in the article was the first sentence. The “Canadian Government” had no involvement in the case.

"The Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission was established by the HRCM Act to carry out functions under the Act. The Commission is an independent Commission of the Government of Alberta reporting through the Minister of Culture and Community Spirit, who has responsibility for human rights issues."

Exactly. This was the government of one province, NOT the Government of Canada.
