Col. Gregory “Pappy” Boyington is one of my all time favorite war heroes. The other is Audie Murphy.
If you haven’t already done a post on Audie Murphy, please consider it. He was the most decorated soldier of WWII.

"Pappy" has always been one of my favorite American heroes.
Got to meet him when I was a kid and he was visiting a V.A. Hospital that my dad was staying at.

One of my friend’s son has just gone up to Eielson AFB here after being at, I think Nellis, learning to be one of the bad guys. He’s just back from Korea.
