A lot of people pack in the New Orleans area. It's legal to keep a loaded weapon anywhere in your car as it is considered an extension of your house. No permit required. Our governor has an A+ from the NRA so it's doubtful it will change anytime soon.

This happened in my city. About 3 miles from my home. Ya think I’m a bit concerned?

The local school had about 60 seniors break in and do a bit of trashing last week and now a mob of Yoots take this guy down. They are linked with a bunch of other events and damage the same night. They were at a carnival and apparently just got together and went on a rampage.

There are a whole bunch of CCW holders in my town, so I suspect this won’t be allowed to get too out of hand

Upon rereading the article and checking the maps, this incident actually took place in Macomb country, north of 16 Mile Road (8 miles north of the Detroit border). North River Road runs on the southern border of Selfridge ANG base.

I am not that familiar with that area but it is kind of out in the boonies, close to Lake St. Clair. From my limited knowledge, the perps could have been Cartheginians or Norwegians or even Canadian Indians from Walpole Island.

I have a 6 " Colt Python, the last of its breed. I bought it new from my uncle's basement gunshop (back in the early 70s when guys had basement gun shops.) Its in > 95 percent condition. I have it put away, retired more or less, since I have other big bangers, including the .40 Glock.
I've been hunting for one of the last Pythons that Colt sold near the end of production. I think this was the 8 1/2 bbl w/scope and carry case. Pretty rare.

If you are community minded, you might pull up 500 yards, get out the -06 and do some preventative clean-up for the return trip. I believe ammunition is tax deductible when used for the good of the community. Check with your City Manager for reloads.
