CLINTON TO DROP OUT OF RACE FRIDAY
nypost.com ^ | June 4, 2008 | Post Staff Report

Sen. Hillary Clinton will drop out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination Friday, The Post has learned.

Her decision ends speculation about what she would do after Sen. Barack Obama captured the nomination yesterday.

Last night, a defiant Clinton conceded nothing to Obama.

In a speech at Baruch College, Clinton said she needed time to consider her next move.

Clinton ran down the list of every state she has won, trumpeted the nearly 18 million people who voted for her in this year's contests and demanded that her supporters be given "respect."

Clinton also said she had won the "swing states" needed to get the 270 electoral votes to capture the White House, as her supporters broke into chants of, "Yes, we will!" - a dig on Obama's slogan, "Yes we can!"

But today party leaders began calling for Clinton to drop out, hoping that such a move would encourage party unity.

"I don't see why we don't get on with it and endorse [Obama]," said Rep. Charles Rangel, a Clinton supporter. He said it was only a matter of time before he and other Clinton supporters formally back Barack.

...trumpeted the nearly 18 million people who voted for her...

Hoo-ray, a whole 6% of the population got excited enough to vote for the hag.

The way the media has treated the whole primary process, they only saw the Democrats.

That could be because only Democrats are running this time.

It is the Demicans or the Republocrats. How exciting.

Per Fox

“Democratic sources also have said Clinton will suspend her campaign rather than close it down entirely. By suspending her campaign, Clinton would retain nominal control of her delegates and could continue to raise money to pay off campaign debts. She also would allow late-primary states to finish up the process of electing pro-Clinton delegates to the August convention.”

More maneuvering by The Hildabeaste.

I sincerely hope she hangs on until after the bitter end.

That’s selfish of me, I know. But, honestly, if she drops out I don’t know where to go to find a substitute that is as entertaining.

This may be because that ‘other shoe’ didn’t drop today.

Whatever it was, that was supposed to be explosive, turned out to be a dud, apparently.

The anticipated “Obamabombshell” fizzled.

Get the hell out, and take your idiotic husband with you.”

This would be really sweet, except we are going to get something far worse than Hillary. The Obamamessiah and lovely hateful of white folks Michelle.

Hillary lent herself $10 million dollars +.

She is not going anywhere until the DNC gives that money back to her.

Always follow the money ...

By suspending her campaign, Clinton would retain nominal control of her delegates and could continue to raise money to pay off campaign debts.

Good plan since I read her campaign is $30 some million in debt.

Okay all you RATS, dig deep to help out the smartest woman in the world that just got the crap beat out of her by a guy with NO resume.

This is starting to remind me of those posts a while back claiming we’re closing in on Osama Bin Laden

She diminished Obama’s victory by being a bad sport. Now she’s willing to concede? How white of her...

Lesson learned from algore...I'm waiting for her to demand a recount.

If I don’t believe bad news attributed to unnamed sources why should I believe good news attributed to unnamed sources? Besides, now everybody is talking about Hillary, which could just be the rational behind a planted story...or, it could be an Obama plant to push Hillary out before the Convention. Many ways to read a story based on unnamed sources.

The assassination took place shortly after midnight on June 5, 1968. So was it actually June 6th. Wow she is going to announce she is quitting on the 40th anniversary. That is creepy after her previous RFK comment.

Let’s face it, she HAS to say the right things and appear to have some “plausible” reasons to stay in the game while waiting for Obama to self destruct.

Doesn’t mean all who voted for her were her supporters. Some were Rush’s listeners wanting to create chaos.
