Sen. Hillary Clinton, whose tenacious refusal to surrender the nomination contest turned the Democratic race into one of the most nail-biting in modern U.S. political history, has indicated that she would be willing to sign up on a joint ticket.
But while Clinton's appointment could help heal rifts in the party after weeks of divisive campaigning from both candidates, Obama has the pick of a broad field of candidates from across the political spectrum. iReport.com: Whom do you see as VP?

I hear he's the second coming of Fernando Valenzuela. He can rush his 4-seamer up there at 97, has a good sharp fast slider, he can sell his change-up, his splitter falls off the table, has a good heavy sinker, he can throw his curveball in a teacup, he's complete.
If I recall correctly he tried to get Monica Lewisnsky a job in NYC to keep her quiet about her love affair with The Great Stainmaker.
Agreed. O'Bambino / Ricky Ricardo 2008. A Eyetalian and a Queban.
Early 2011 would mean she would serve out the remaining ~2 years of BHO's term and remain eligible to serve two more terms after that.

a dream team, or is it a nightmare
Obama’s not going to choose another Senator or Congressman. He has to balance the ticket with a Governor, and he needs to make up to the women’s voters. He has 3 female Rat Governors to choose from: Napalitano in AZ, Gregoire in WA, and Sebelius in KS (Granholm from MI is Canadian, so she doesn’t count). My guess is Sebelius. Napalitano is very un-photogenic, to be polite, and Gregoire doesn’t help because Obama will already win Washington state without her. Sebelius is Hillary without the baggage.
