‘Obama used to be very comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinian rights and opposing the Israeli occupation.’
Welcome to AIPAC, Senator Obama:
CARL CAMERON: Yup, there was an interview done with a Chicago pro-Palestinian activist back in January of this year. He talked about Barack Obama, and its the kind of thing that could give pause to some of the participants at AIPAC tomorrow. Heres a little sampling of that:
ALI ABUNIMAH, PALESTINIAN ACTIVIST: I knew Barack Obama for many years as my state senator, when he used to attend events in the Palestinian community in Chicago all the time. I remember personally introducing him on stage in 1999 when we had a major community fundraiser for the community center in the Haitia (sp?) refugee camp in occupied West Bank. And thats just one example of how Barack Obama used to be very comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinian rights and opposing the Israeli occupation.
CAMERON: Its worth noting that now the Palestinian activist says that Barack Obama is essentially a mainstream pro-Israel politician, but where he may have been, according to this activist at least, as recently as 1999, is something that can trouble Jewish-American voters. And Obama will be speaking with them tomorrow. Hes acknowledged he has a lot more outreach to do, and he has gone out of his way to meet with Jewish community leaders in the past.

One of the Most Defiant Speeches I’ve Ever Heard
She’s not done yet, but so far... Hillary’s not conceding anything. She just made a reference to “count every vote,” which would suggest she’s not at peace with the DNC decision on Michigan and Florida.
Fighting on to the convention?
UPDATE: She tells the tale of a woman who arrived at an event hours early to give her a rosary. Translation: “I can appeal to Catholics, while Father Michael Pfleger’s buddy can’t.”
“I make no decisions tonight.”
She wants people to visit her web site and help her decide what to do next.
Can you see what’s next? “I wanted to concede, but my supporters didn’t want me to.”
