Many have, for years, they've idolized the Clinton years, and while they wished for a resumption of them during a Hillary presidency, they've become quite disillusioned that she's been hanging on in the face of certain defeat for the nomination.
Most Democrats who were truly ready to embrace the eventual winner no matter who it was thought this race was over when Obama piled up his eleven straight victories. Then, Hillary got really dirty, using scare tactics in Ohio and Texas, the 3 AM phone call was the same sort of stuff they associate with Republicans. At that point, they realized that having her continue in the race was only going to hurt Obama. Also, Operation Chaos was firing up its furnaces, and providing the Democrats' political enemies with a chance to save their struggling nominee by making sure the focus was on the fight between two identity victim groups.
I expect that many have been silent because of fear, but after we have seen the house truly drop on the Witch, we will see the Democrat Munchkins emerge from hiding.
