Thank you for your very kind post and for the service your family has and continues to give us all.
Cancer is a tough road- but watching my son fight it for the last 3 years has been touching, inspiring and simply amazing at times. You know..the radiation..surgery, endless chemo..it shows the character of a person- in surprising ways. My son has said many times he would never have been prepared for fighting cancer if he hadn’t fought in combat; the training and discipline he learned in the Army has kept him going. That- and the great irreverent humor that it seems all GI’s have :)
At the moment he’s in remission- working and living every day he’s given.
I will show him your post- he is always interested in the experiences of other cancer survivors.
