The cool weather and rain have ruined the picnic. The severe consequences are beyond cataclysmic. Hopes for a wonderful carefree stretch are gone. The expectations of merriment are being withdrawn.
Memorial Day was designed to honor and show respect. For the sacrificing men and women holding heads erect… Courageous soldiers who protect our privilege to be free. Many died in battle; they no longer have the opportunity.
So do not be discontent and complain about the weather. Be thankful you and your family can enjoy smiles together. On this day, while bands march somberly to patriotic songs… Let us appreciate and put our concentration where it belongs.
