37 stitches, Vee shaped wound caused by what the eeeeeevil slime mom described as “a pike”. A pike??? “You know, like you’d put a head on?”
Darling Daughter says it was part of a decorative metal fence, with a spade shaped capital. They extracted if from her at the scene, so she didn’t wander into the ER fully impaled (unlike her mom’s toe-on-a-stick way back when)
They’re trying to decide whether to x-ray her for a possible broken clavicle.
Not one of her better days.
OTOH, I vividly remember her first attempt at solo two wheeling. She hit a retaining wall and cut her upper lip all the way through. While we were on the phone trying to arrange to meet her pediatrician at the ER, she came up and asked if she could go to the park with her friends? Ummmm, no dear, you have two mouths...
