She remarked she was going to write children’s books—— mentioning certain titles-—which were put-downs Joe Kennedy used, to throw his weight around.
One Jackie mentioned was “The Donkey Who Couldn’t Fight His Way Out of a Telephone Booth.”
Later Joe K picked up the tab for the pricey designer outfits Jackie wore in the WH.
