Bona fide FReepers would not believe me about the raid and other abuses of the Constitution.

Actually, it is an M113 APC - an army surpluss POS that our troops refused to ride in in VN.

The hull is aluminum, it burns when lit, and provided less ballistic protection than a dirt berm.

On the upside, they make great snow cats!

Also, they are used world-wide for yard dogs - utility vehicles in railyards and such.

So calling it a tank is more than a little silly.

A tank has a main gun, more armor, etc., etc.

FReepers are picky about these things. ;)

(Watch - someone will correct my facts about the APC)

Disgusting video of a nest of pedophile polygamists. The mothers and fathers should have never stayed when they realized that girls as young as 14 were being “spiritually joined” and being made pregnant.

Finally, if the men were men, they’d come forward to say “This is my wife, these are my children.” Instead, they want to break the law without consequence.

But it’s OK for CPS to lie, right? The misinformation surrounding this case is staggering, some of it out and out propaganda. One mistake they made that will come back to haunt them (TX law enforcement swat teams and the like) is the lack of a search warrant for every home on the ranch. One home is invaded and the woman asks to see the search warrant to which the officer replies there was one search warrant for the entire community. The woman has no choice - since there are guns pointed at her - to let law enforcement invade her home and take away the children and her belongings. Is this my America? Is this your America?

If one of those things came into my neighborhood with a bunch of rifles or machine guns or whatever the heck they are sticking out of the top of it pointed at me - well, it would scare the heck out of me and my husband would defend our home and property and our very lives. Those poor kids.

Janet Reno is alive and well and living in Texas, I guess.

Ok, its just the same as burning to death children, sending them to a communist country and shooting to death the mother...yea just the same.

CPS is far from whipped. They are holding hearings with the parents [or those that they can find] before five judges in San Angelo and are getting Service Plans agreed to and signed. It’s pretty sad when the fathers won’t step forward and own up to their children. Some have and are to be commended for doing so.

However they say they are and you aren’t...who to believe those living the original way or those living the new way?
Which one which one......

See, THIS is my problem with the Freepers that defend the CPS’s tactics.

1) Child abuse IS INDEFENSIBLE - period. End of story. I in NO WAY support the FLDS’s supposed practices of “spiritual marriage” or sexual assault of underage girls under any guise. It is not fair or accurate to say that I support or even condone “organized child sexual abuse”.

2) Child rapists should be beaten to death - and I volunteer to do the beating.

3) I don’t buy most of the LDS theology as contained by the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price (collectively known as “the sticks”) I’ve read them all; have you? However, I will defend to the death (mine or yours) their right to believe and worship as they see fit. If the FLDS (note the distinction I make between the two groups) is a child molesting cult - bust them up and jail the criminals!

I don’t trust the Texas CPS in this matter. They relied on bogus information. They have committed egregious acts that are counter to our societal values. They are, in my opinion, dragging their heels in reuniting mothers with their children, because they disapprove of the groups religious doctrine.

There are correct, legal methods to protect these children. The Texas CPS are going about this in a way that I find abhorrent.

If they can do this to them - they can do this to YOU.

The MHMR workers signed contracts not to disclose client’s information. So, they turned in unsigned “reports.” Then, one of our County Commissioners - who will be out at the end of this term - released the reports that the CPS workers seemed “rude” to the Mental Health/Mental Retardation workers.

They all lived at/in the exact same residence. The law requiered the children to be removed. If you don’t like it see the Texas legislature.

Too bad that same "logic" doesn't work with 70 illegal aliens in a 1,200 SF house.

The San Angelo Standard Times has a fairly extensive compilation of the news article and events over the tenure of this event. They currently have a running commentary by different reporters at each of the five court rooms each day of the proceedings. You’ll get a little less biased picture imo.

Yup, APC. I was a TC on an APC. We had no cannon. We had no turret. Our armor was just cast aluminum.

Lots of difference between an APC and a "tank". Even amateurs should be able to notice.

It's not clear that the CPS can't tell the truth. The women misidentified themselves, their children and their ages.

Even the lawyers have noted that (and been quoted). You really gotta' keep up on this CW.

Did you get a good look at the "tank" (Yes, I know it is an APC!)?

It has a trophy depiction of 2 people and something smaller (probably a cat!) on the side.

I pointed it out and stirred up the bees on another thread .

Hardly deplorable. Right on the mark. There are people who think their children are property.
