If the men would show up in Texas to provide DNA samples I'm sure some of them can be readily accommodated with a "round up".

Maybe you should go outside and tell them "Texas wants you".

I don’t know if you call is a “gag order” but the mental health workers who were taking care of the kids in the coliseum were threatened and told not to speak up about the abuse they witnessed. They later released unsigned statements saying their didn’t want it on their conscience. Have you read any of their statements? Not pretty. CPS workers were cruel to mothers and children.

You sir or madam are obviously an idiot.

I am not a slaver, a child molester, a FLDS (or even LDS) member.

I am just an average Christian American that believes in DUE PROCESS of law. There hasn’t been any in this case.

You probably prefer China or Cuba, or even Iran, to the USA.

You slavers really ought to go find a country more compatible to your kind. Children are not personal property. You are to keep your pundenda away from them.

The term is "pudenda".

I think the issue that posters are trying to address is the issue of personal freedom and not the "right" to abuse children. While all of us have a visceral repulsion to child abuse, there are other things to consider in this case, namely, whether the Texas CPS overstepped their bounds in regards to the personal freedom of families and their children. This is not as easy a consideration as you claim to believe.

“Now hang em high.”

I am not into lynching people who might not be guilty of anything. I guess I’m funny that way.

“What outrages me even more are the supposed “conservative” Freepers that are applauding this high-handed, fascist State action!”

No kidding! I am sorry for you, though, because now you are going to be pounded unmercifully. Get ready.

Too late. One of the leaders of the fascist Freepers is already here and working.

I have asbestos undies.

” . . .everyone involved in this is being given full due process of law.”

So . . . the adult women who were incorrectly judged to be minors by CPS, separated from their children and kept under lock and key, virtual prisoners, were given due process of law? I thought one was innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around.

And, the crime?

The women gave the wrong ages ~ that’s all, and they probably knew that too.

This was all a set up so you could run your talking points again.

Just like having a debate with Democrats ~ they all want their own personal version of the facts.

Why do I get the feeling that you Mormons would like nothing better than for your FLDS brothers to simply get back to getting after new teen wives and having a herd of women?

The case is NOT weakening. Some of the people who have lied about numerous things are actually turning out to not be minors. That is the whole reason for the case hearings. BIG DEAL. When it turns out that no Polygamy sexual perversion was happening, then you will have a point. And you Mormons can have a victory dance.

“I have asbestos undies.”

You are so brave. Hats off to ya.

This morning on FOX News, they had a story about a 15-yr-old girl going on YouTube with her story about rape by a 23-yr-old man and the prosecutor refused to prosecute. Well, Megyn Kelly (I usually like her very much) says the girl was being a drama queen and the prosecutors used good judgment in not prosecuting the man because the 15-yr-old girl was just mad because he broke up with her and because the girl was now 16, the legal age. I sent an e-mail reminding Ms. Kelly that just a few days ago she was railing against the FLDS men for having sex with underage girls - ALLEGEDLY. There’s a lot of hypocrisy going around this story. Have you noticed?

No, Johnniegrad, we've dealt with these people too many times to think that it's just about "personal freedom". No, they want their "personal freedom" to include possession of another human beings.

The same arguments we can use against slavery work here.

They keep demanding criminal trials, but custody of minors is a civil matter.

Otherwise we'd find a divorce being followed up by a criminal trial against the "losing parent" to stick him or her in jail.

Also, settling matters in criminal court still wouldn't address the rights and privileges of the minor child involved in the case.

This is, so far, a civil matter, and it may be followed by some criminal cases. Welfare fraud, statutory rape, abuse, and all sorts of crimes may be involved. They are all being investigated.

You forgot to add that there were 26 women/children who had age disputes 9 issues have been resolved.
Its difficult to resolve these issues where there is habitual lying within the group (according to other news reports).

“Only 17 women, out of original 26, are left in the state’s disputed-age group”

So far the entire case is a civil matter and every person involved is being given due process of law. Each child has his or her own personal attorney for example.

I know you want to see some criminal trials, but the children are not charged with any crimes and their rights would not be considered in criminal trials.

Due process of law is being followed according to civil laws of custody.

If the choices are Mormons having a herd of women or giving the misanthropists at CPS a free pass to break families on an unsubstantiated tip and worry about the details later ... me, I’ll live with the Mormons.

“Why do I get the feeling that you Mormons would like nothing better than for your FLDS brothers to simply get back to getting after new teen wives and having a herd of women?”

First of all FLDS people are NOT Mormons. They are in no way affiliated or connected to LDS. Got it?

I have said right from the beginning, the authorities, if they wanted to round up a bunch of people, should have rounded up the MEN!

The FLDS women are guilty of being stupid, ignorant and dumb - but I was not aware until now that being stupid, ignorant and dumb was a crime punishable by being found unfit to procreate. If it is a crime, there are a lot of guilty women running around, let me tell you, and CPS needs to and round up all of the children born to those fools.

As for men herding up women. Like I said, the FLDS women are stupid, ignorant and dumb. To help them recover and pull their heads out of their butts, you don’t go in with guns drawn and round up all their helpless innocent children. (Duh.)
