“If Iran is the threat why did we take out Iraq, their enemy?”

you've been around FR for over a decade and you ask a question like that?

for the record, we LIBERATED Iraq and “took out” Saddam Hussein...and as far as Iran is concerned, Iran's nuclear facilities are what needs to be “taken out”...of course if the Nutjob happens to be in the line of fire; that wouldn't be all bad either...now would it.

Got it?

Good...glad I could be of some assistance. LOL

“If Iran is the threat why did we take out Iraq, their enemy?”

"The" threat?

Since when did Life start dishing out threats only in Single Serving packages?

"If the Soviet Union and Communism were the Cold War threat for half a century, why did we take out Nazi Germany, their enemy?”

They were BOTH threats, they were dealt with one at a time and the threat that was handled first was the most immediate threat.

It's called "defeating your enemies in detail".

During the Iraq-Iran War, we helped BOTH sides slaughter each other.

"The only acceptable outcome is for them both to lose". ..... Henry Kissinger on the desirable outcome of the Iran-Iraq War
