One point to make here. If the Pubs do suffer a seventy five seat thrashing and Obama wins, the country's fate will be entirely in the Democrats' hands (God forbid, but it's possible). You'll then see a replay of the Jimmy Carter era of expensive gas, declining international prestige and our President telling us what a rotten bunch we are for wanting to prosper, yada, yada.

The time will be ripe for the Dems to lose BIG in 2010, assuming the Pubs can get even a semblance of an act together. Of course, they are the Stupid Party, so they won't, but the conditions will be ripe if they were able to take advantage of it.

Sounds good. Except that we'll be left saddled with all the socialist programs the Dems passed while they were in control. We all know that once such programs are put in place, they're never rescinded.
