No, I can't get in either. Domania has changed owners and they are in the process of changing servers, from what I understand. As far as I know, no one can get into their accounts until they are all switched over to the new server.

I also thought it would be nice to post some of the old welcome graphics, but I guess we can't right now. :-(

Well, I have been in mourning all day. It was like ‘I was in shock’ or something. I had told Billie how sad I was and she was so sweet. She is such a fine lady and just like all the other gals and guys I have met at the Finest. I have tried to express it in some posts today!

I even apologized for being sick and being away a couple of weeks but of course, that wasn’t the reason for closing the thread. We will just see each other for a while on the other places and someday this place may re-open!

I thank everyone for the lovely friendships I have made here. I have poured out my soul at times when I was not feeling well or feeling sad and have expressed my happiness in the joys I have experienced.

One thing though, it was the Finest place with the Finest Friends and we will all be together in moving to another place at this time!

Please let's don't be sad - I didn't want anyone to be sad, nor to see any goodbye posts - it's not goodbye; we're taking a break from posting the regular threads every week. I don't know how long - we've had to rethink and rework our schedules many times in these six years, and I appreciate all of you more than you know.

Dolly, dutchess, Lori, Aqua......I didn't know Domania was changing servers either - but guess what? I have many of 'my' hostess & welcome graphics saved in files with the domania addy - let's smile now!

But, I would like to say a special THANK YOU and BRAVO to you, Billie. You have taught so many of us so much and extended your knowledge and expertise generously. You have been the most welcoming FReeper I ever encountered, the sweetest and kindest person.

Which doesn’t mean that others aren’t! But I want to say that about and to you Billie.

And Mama Bear, I don’t know if you taught Billie or she taught and helped you, or if you co-created the thread... I just don’t know! .... but you have added some absolutely stunning creations and friendly, caring warmth.

I have been with the Billie and the Finest since the beginning and I have to say that, all the way through the Finest years, Billie was truly my mentor. Not only in making graphics but in creating tables and coding html. Billie taught me so much! Because of Billie and my trial and error experimenting in photoshop, the quality of my graphics evolved over the years.....and it has all been such fun!

The truth is, in technique and expertise, I always had to play catch-up with Billie. She set the bar high, for sure. :-)
