Kerry fearlessly conferred with the Viet Minh / Viet Cong and then represented their "American forces are war criminals" complaints when he testified before a committee of the Senate of the United States of America. He is consistent. It worked out great for the Viet Minh / Viet Cong.
The use of the word Nazi when speaking of those who wish to appease.
Not to rain on everyone's Bush praise parade, but isn't this essentially what Bush has Rice doing with the Palestinians while strong-arming Israel to give up more land for "peace"? I wish he would apply his statements in this speech consistently across the board.
“...an American senator declared, ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided,”

He could have responded “I am well aware of the dangers of appeasement. I am well aware of the dangers of a weak leader negotiating from a position of weakness with a tyrant is a recipe for disaster and possibly war, as was th case with Chamberlain in Munich.
History has also shown that a strong leader negotiating from a position of strength can weaken and eventually end a tyranny. We eventually prevailed in the cold war by negotiating from strength.
Instead he sent out his spinmiesters and cued his sock puppets at CNN and MSNBC to go in to mock outrage mode.

Historical note, I think the proper historical analogy for Barak Obama is not Chamberlain but Vichy France.
Touche Mister President!
It’s like that old Shelley Fabares(?)song: “Johnny Get Angry”. “Johnny get angry, Johnny get mad.
Give me the biggest lecture I ever had.
I want a brave man, I want a cave man
Johnny show me that you care, really care for me”
Yeah, show us that you care Johnny McCain. Give them heck! We want a cave man, Johnny! Use a little of the “Straight Talk”, and let the Dems have it! (and not just a lecture!)
Palestinian President Abbas is a leading member of Fatah, the largest faction of the PLO that was led for years by Yasar Arafat, yet no nation names them as a terrorist or radical organization. My mind reels at this.
I agree but since they aren’t named they aren’t officially terrorist.
It reminds me of an old military tactic that the Romans would use, take one part of the whole element and exploit it against the others. That one part will usually survive where the others fade away but the one surviving part is so weakened that they end up basically impotent.

Borah was a Republican from Idaho. In those days, the Republicans were isolationist, kinda like Pat Buchanan today.
Bump Phil
I didn’t know Shelly married him. But you know I was referring to the song she sang a long time ago? Anyway, you’re right about Mike Farrell! Too bad her song didn’t fit him, eh?
Actually, I was referring to John McCain. Hopefully he’ll be the caveman in the song! ;^)
I am voting for McCain but I don’t expect he will evolve into a caveman. I know he is not a traitor.
