I fear the American people will be telling Repubs just that in November.

Not necessarily. It will be difficult for the 'Rats to win congressional seats in Republican states with "Osama" Obama heading their ticket. Don't forget that the total vote in the same district in November will dwarf the total vote in a special election, so these special elections don't mean all that much in terms of predictive value.

Don't be so sure. There are lots of structural issues as well. For example, the GOP's fundraising for House candidates has been almost non-existent. Recruiting has been terrible. We've also had a record number of retirements. And even with Obamarama, the environment is incredibly hostile to Republicans.

There's no way in hell we gain seats in November. We could lose a ton -- even if McCain wins.

“It will be difficult for the ‘Rats to win congressional seats in Republican states with “Osama” Obama heading their ticket.”

THIS is the elephant in the room that NOBODY wants to talk about.

Obama is simply UNELECTABLE, by any standard we have known, so far.
And the down-ticket drag, along with his Demographic patterns already tell us the D’s will make HUGE gains in the cities, while getting crushed everywhere else.

CNN’s “Red-Blue” county vote map will be so sharp and clear this year, that it will boggle the mind.
