If I were a political animal, I would find ways of showing the average person how much freedom and money are taken from them because of a global scam and use that to pound the rats politically instead of joining them in the madness.

There was a time on FR when there weren't McCain apologists present and folks were actually fighting his global warming legislation. This is an email from ACU in 2004 pointing out just some of the danger in this scam:
