I’m a chinese in Shanghai.I saw this site’s link in a big forum of china.
it’s good to see all those sympathetic post here.But some posts really hurt me and made me a little angry.I think it’s the same reason why some chinese like me come here and say something.
I don’t want to talk about politics or something like that.that’s too complicated. I just wanna clarify some truth.
We chinese are having good life just like you.(especially in coastal citys,like Shanghai). Internet and computer can be used almost everywhere by anyone.We can play online games,watch news worldwide,visit any website throughout the world.(that’s why i’m here)
yes,the goverment blocked some website for some reason which we don’t think completely wrong.Because we have too many many many people here.it’s hard to feed and lead such a big country.there are many kinds of us,good ,bad,and natural.Some are easy to provocated and instigated.especially those uneducated,that’s almose hundred millions.None country would allow such a dangerous possibility which may lead us to war.that’s why something should be controled.WE are chinese,we have our history and experience.So we know it and understand it.For nation’s benefit something should be sacrificed,especially in our circumstance.So,the filter system is needed and so long effective for these uneducated people.I think same thing happens in every country all over the world even in different forms.
even though,we really can breach the block system with some proxy site or software.it’s not hard to learn,indeed.Many chinese do it frequently. ^ ^
So,someone please stop imagining and suspicion.Come to china and communicat with us,see with your own eyes,see the truth.
