I see. You don’t think we need tamper-proof documents. You don’t think illegals would self deport if they couldn’t finf work.
The problem is getting employers to comply with the laws. Tamper proof documents will not help if the employers decide that the bottom line is more important than obeying the law. I believe firmly that attrition thru enforcement will work. The best way to achieve that is to go after the employers aznd penalize them severely.
