All I have watched so far is Fox News. Another boring Sunday. Long discussions on differences between Obama and Clinton which actually boil down into discussions of identity politics. To think that Geraldine Ferraro was fired for saying, " Senator BO's strongest point is he is black," seems silly now.

There is virtually no discussion of McCain although from time to time someone mentions the "real conservatives" are not going to vote for him, etc.

The big news of this campaign season is not mentioned--the gradual collapse of the print media. I note today Editor and Publisher has two articles on this collapse. The Seattle paper has been marked down from more than a million to 12 million and there is a collection of papers in Michigan that are going bankrupt. Add to this the Mpls Strib facing bankruptcy as well as all the other reports one could conclude that puffing liberals does not save the newspaper.

The impending news is McCain and Obama are going head to head on issues. Hopefully soon. Race will be ever present in the background but the foreground will center on liberalism, the war, economy and so forth.

Hidden news is an uncanny belief of mine that seems to be reinforced by some things the Clinton campaign drops. An October surprise? But what. Look for something not mentioned or refused to be mentioned. "Hussein" to come back when it is discovered he was once a Muslim? Personal, something about a second family or something analogous to that? In any case it will be personal and something before 1988 when he joined Writght's church.

McCain can capture the middle if he wants to. Those conservatives who characterize others as "RINOS" can lose elections but they can't win one. They will have decide whether to support McCain and he can do little except be nice to encourage that.

Great post as usual. I guess it's no surprise that the DBM is trying to hide the fact that they have self destructed in near record time. They will never change, just become more irrelevant every year.

Probably the Larry Sinclair claim to have shared cocaine with Obama and giving him a blow-job in the back of a limo while Obama was a state senator in Illinois.

IMO that's something we ought not to be pushing and I suspect Hillary hopes we will. Let her do her own dirty work.

I don't know if it's true or not, but it's definitely a story that's out there and getting attention on the Internet, but not yet on TV (which would make it real to the boobs).

There may be something much bigger and more destructive, but that is the story that the big boys are pretending they don't know about yet...

Oh--I forgot that there is now a follow up to the Larry Sinclair story. Apparently there was a gay member of Wright's "church" who was friendly with Obama and who turned up dead. Wild speculations are being made that IMO are reminiscent of the Clintons except that I think most of the Clinton stories were true.

Again, who knows what degree IF ANY truth there is to this, but those stories are out there and MIGHT be the alleged October surprise. I still say let Hillary do her own dirty work. We can beat him on other issues. This one could blow back.
