The GOP could run anyone- and I mean anyone- for office and do as well as with McCain - against candidates as dull as Hillary and Obama. Probably better. We should have held a raffle for the candidacy instead of a primary, at least we would have had a greater say in the matter, and perhaps the GOP's coffers would have benefitted.
Now if the Dems had an actual moderate candidate instead of the two terrorist-loving communists, there would be no chance at all for McCain. Fortunately for him, they didn't.
