Many of the superdelegates who could well decide the Democratic presidential nominee have already been plied with campaign contributions by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, a new study shows.
[snip]
Obama's political action committee has doled out more than $694,000 to superdelegates since 2005, the study found, and of the 81 who had announced their support for Obama, 34 had received donations totaling $228,000.
Clinton's political action committee has distributed about $195,000 to superdelegates, and only 13 of the 109 who had announced for her have received money, totaling about $95,000.
"And I keep asking the question of the DNC: 'why won't you earmark money for these voters?' And their answer is, 'oh, we can't do that' Which is a lie," said Ybarra.
With the Democratic National Committee saying 'no,' Ybarra waits for a 'yes' from already cash-strapped Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
Hillary might be cash-strapped, but Obama certainly isn't -- his campaign buys votes all the time.
Well....THAT is interesting! Obama pays more.
So....
On one hand we have the expenses of a campaign for travel, staff, advertising, stumping, wardrobe, etc.
Then, we have the part of giving money to Delegates.
With so much rhetoric over McCain-Feingold campaign laws, when it really gets down to the nitty-gritty, the phrase ‘democratic vote’ gets thrown out the window, as long as as the cash is ‘shoveled in’ the window.
