This is how conservatives snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Were we about to win something? We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by spending 30 years working for GOP control of the gov't, only to have W and the congress piss it away on more spending and bigger gov't than the dems ever even dreamed of.

I'm not sure I'm willing to continue viewing the election of liberal Republicans to be "victory."

By having someone run who is more conservative than the liberal Republican candidate is somehow taking something away from conservatism? I think not.
