LAUREN RICHARDSON - YOU CAN HELP! It has been a source of ongoing sadness to read of the difficulties Lauren Richardson’s father has had over the course of the past several months. For those of you who are not familiar with her case, Lauren overdosed on heroin on August 28, 2006. She suffered oxygen deprivation and, as a result of the overdose, is now in a coma and unable to speak out for herself. At the time of the overdose, Lauren was expecting a baby. Her parents honored what they knew would have been her wish and did all they could to keep her healthy and comfortable until the child was born. Today, though Lauren may not be aware of it, she is the mother of Ember Grace, who was born in February 2007. Since the birth of her daughter, Lauren remains unable to speak of her concerns, but she has a loving father who is doing all he can to protect her from suffering the same fate as Terri Schiavo. However, Lauren’s mother, who has been named her legal guardian, is sadly not of the same opinion and is working with attorneys to pressure the courts to permit Lauren’s starvation. Lauren’s father has kept hope alive, even at times when there appeared to be no hope in human terms. Lauren’s father is a man of hope in Christ and is dedicated to spending every breath he has on defending Lauren, regardless of what it might cost him in physical exhaustion and worldly goods. The most recent update for those concerned about Lauren tells us the following: We struggle at times as we seek to share with the public the details of what is happening with Lauren because of the disagreement we have with Lauren’s mother. We cannot understand her reasoning in refusing a path of hope, healing and restoration for Lauren and insisting on causing her death by withholding food and water from her. The issue in Lauren’s case is the eternal truth that all people, no matter what their medical condition, bear the image of God and deserve basic care and an opportunity to be restored to health. Bobby Schindler, Terri Schiavo’s brother, has written about Lauren in an editorial earlier this year, "False Compassion," and is working closely with Lauren’s father in order to provide expertise that he is uniquely qualified to share during a trying time like this. There are many links on the Life for Lauren web site that will assist you in tracking this case and learning who is supporting Lauren’s ongoing care and who is opposing it. More importantly, there is something you can do to express your concerns. ACTION NEEDED NOW The governor of Delaware, Ruth Ann Minner, is being asked by pro-life Americans across this nation to intervene in this case in order to save Lauren from what many fear is an imminent court order dictating that Lauren be starved and dehydrated to death. I am asking you to be one of those who communicates your passionate belief that Lauren’s life is sacred and deserves to be protected from those who would order her death. The governor’s e-mail address is governor.minner@state.de.us. Further, it would mean a great deal to Lauren’s father, Randy, if you sent him a copy of your e-mail to Governor Ruth Ann Minner. Randy’s e-mail address is Lifeforlauren@aol.com. During a recent visit to Anchorage, Alaska where Bobby Schindler was invited to speak, he told a reporter from The Catholic Anchor, "Once we accept that killing is an acceptable answer to human suffering, we lose any type of parameters. Euthanasia is a form of abandonment. It is not compassion." Truer words were never spoken. As I frequently tell people who argue that we pro-lifers are being heartless and cruel for fighting to defend the rights of a "hopeless case," "God is the author of every human being’s life, and He has never given permission to a single one of us to arbitrarily rob another human being of life for any reason including disability or illness." As Flannery O’Connor once wrote on the subject of false compassion, "In the absence of faith, we govern by tenderness. And tenderness leads to the gas chamber." Lauren Richardson is not terminal – she is severely disabled. Lauren Richardson should not be murdered. I have no business speaking for FV, but I’m going to and she can correct me if I’m wrong.
When someone is standing in the hot sun for hours on end AND they are emotionally involved in a very traumatic ordeal, sometimes they just need to sit down.
Then might I suggest that you contain your questions to valid and general matters of a pro-life nature on this thread. This thread is 100% pro-life, we ARE NOT interested in any dissent, nor do we need a "devil's advocate," we know full well who the devil is and what he is doing and how many he has killed.
Best,

>>>Good night, all.<<<
Did I say your question offended me? It was immaterial as to the matter at hand that a young woman was being tortured ACROSS THE STREET due to a PACK O LIES. Let me try to redirect you to what is material re: Lauren Richardson. Fast Forward to right now: The culture of death vs. their battle tested and hardened opponents who are blogging for Lauren and writing about her. In case you still aren’t “clear”, the culture of death are the bad guys who chose taking lives as a vocation/hobby. Among them are hit men with bar licenses.

The death cultists try to convince the world that this or that human being is irrelevant and expendable. If you felt irrelevant or dismissed at all on this thread, that is what the culture of death is all about. Does that help?
This is the first major news story to break on Lauren Richardson in recent times, and note, it is in tandem with the core of our own thread. Wagglebee has posted a separate thread on this story. Bob Unruh of WND is on to the story now, and we can be assured he will keep watch for new events. I encourage all to read the complete article with the link on the wagglebee thread. Because of policy, it must be excerpted. Here is a part:
Now in the Richardson case, Judie Brown of American Life League said those who are concerned about the situation can help.
"The governor of Delaware, Ruth Ann Minner, is being asked by pro-life Americans across this nation to intervene in this case in order to save Lauren from what many fear is an imminent court order dictating that Lauren be starved and dehydrated to death," she announced. "I am asking you to be one of those who communicates your passionate belief that Lauren's life is sacred and deserves to be protected from those who would order her death. The governor's e-mail address is governor.minner@state.de.us."
Brown wrote this week that "it has been a source of ongoing sadness to read of the difficulties Lauren Richardson's father has had over the course of the past several months....

Grunthor, I am only glad my family did not take the approach that it was ok to snuff me, and sentence me to death by two weeks of dehydration because of my addiction overdose. It is just a little harsh when ruthless killers whine about the cruelty of lethal injections, and the innocent get the painful route not allowed for the nastiest of animals.

Mother’s Day reminds us of the bond between mother and child that lasts for all time. Similarly, Father’s Day is right around the corner. A father’s love can be a strong as a mother’s bond with their child. Randy wants to take care of her and he doesn’t love her any less because she needs a feeding tube. A feeding tube is just a way to eat. It is not a measure of life’s value.
BTTT!
Thanks for your reply. I am an alcoholic (and used more than my share of drugs), I hit bottom when I was 23 and have been sober for seventeen and a half years.
I have seen more times than I care to remember the horrors that heroin has brought to addicts and their families. However, in Lauren’s case, heroin is no longer an issue. She will NEVER use it again, of that we can be certain.
“I would wish Governor Minner and Edith Towers, mother of Lauren, a great day of remembrance of what it is like to be a loving mom and offer up our own prayers for their guidance from Above.”
Prayers so that the Holy Spirit will guide them.
I would hope Terri's Listers take a moment for prayer today, for their own moms and for those heroic moms in the world and those in need of prayers and guidance.
And today, perhaps we could devote a moment of our prayer energy to Governor Minner of Delaware, that she act with her heart as a mom in finding mercy for Lauren Richardson. May we include Edith Tower, Lauren's mom, as a mom in need of prayers and guidance that she might be touched to do the right thing.
As we face the ugliness shoved at us by such as Planned Parenthood, may we temper that with reminders of truly heroic figures, like Governor Palin of Alaska who faced the birth of a child with Down's syndrome and did the right thing by Our Lord. Our days on earth are limited indeed, but eternity is a whole long time.

Some don't have moms. May we never forget. I shudder to think how things would have gone for mother and child in Massachusetts had not Haleigh received the benefit of the limelight. I have yet to find whether Gail Garlinger, the new advocate, is a mom, but in her role, she is indeed.
..................................
Stoneham - On April 28, Massachusetts Judge Gail Garinger began her new job as the state’s first child advocate.
An employee of the Juvenile Court since 1995, Judge Garinger served for seven years as First Justice for Middlesex County before being appointed by Gov. Deval Patrick. In her new position, she will investigate and oversee the state’s handling of children in state custody and those receiving state services.

The agency has come under fire in recent years due to several high-profile abuse cases. Eleven-year-old Haleigh Poutre was beaten by her adoptive mother and stepfather and fell into a coma after DSS had received and dismissed at least 14 prior reports of suspected abuse. Four-year-old Rebecca Riley died of an overdose of psychiatric medications, allegedly given to her by her parents, six months after DSS dismissed a therapist’s concerns she was being overmedicated...........

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A leading post-abortion women's group is upset that Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards exploited Mother's Day for fundraising for the nation's largest abortion business. Planned Parenthood also came under fire for saying promoting abortion is more important than civil rights.
As LifeNews.com reported this week, Richards honored Mother's Day by sharing part of an editorial her daughter wrote saying she got her pro-abortion views from her mother and grandmother, former Texas Gov. Ann Richards.
Richard couldn't wait until the third paragraph of her Mother's Day letter to PPFA supporters to ask them to open their wallets.
"This Mother's Day, I'm honoring that legacy with a Planned Parenthood Federation of America Mother's Day gift. Join me," she wrote.
But Georgette Forney, a co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and an abortion victim, told LifeNews.com she found the sentiment appalling.........
