Its not surprising that the Serb civilians in Croatia were willing to fight rather than end up under Croat rule. The last time that they were under Croat rule was during WWII and at that time the Croat Ustashe killed over 700,000 Serbs in death camps.
Impossible, considering that only 500,000 Serbs died from all fighting in WW2.
