Indiana's controversial photo identification rule may not have made a major dent in the state's high turnout, but it did frustrate a small group of voters more accustomed to divine law.
About 12 elderly Roman Catholic nuns were turned away Tuesday from a polling place because they didn't have state or federal identification bearing a photograph.
Sister Julie McGuire said she was forced to turn away her fellow members of Saint Mary's Convent in South Bend, even though they had been told earlier that they would need to get such an ID to vote.

Boo hoo.
This is a test just a test, they didn’t, know BS meter.
That the actual headline?
AP doesn’t even try to hide its bias.
Hey, wait, I thought they could cast a provisional ballot and then come back with identification later.......
Not a mention of the fact that they could all cast provisional ballots and then have their vote counted by singing an affidavit at the clerk’s office. None of these voters will be denied their vote if they do that, but of course they could have just gotten the free ID beforehand for as little effort.
Well, the Dems have to find something to carp about.
I’d love to know the political leanings of that convent...
if it’s a liberal swamp like some seminaries.
Even if not, maybe this is just a case of cantankerous seasoned citizens
that presume the law would bend for them, based on longevity.
The exploitation of this incident at a liberal website in Missouri is classic:
“Naturally, Missouri Republicans are chomping at the bit to put in
place the same sort of foolish law.
Why does the Missouri GOP hate brides of Christ?”

If Blacks are really voting for Barack the Ba****d in such great numbers then there is a race war of monumental proportions heading our way. Even now when black home invaders torture and kill whites the news media play it down or fail to report it at all, after all it is just blacks getting even with all that white suppression over the centuries, right?
“It kept the fraud down to a minimum.”
I’ll bet it didn’t in Lake County.
As I said it didn't do anything for absentee ballots. However, I would venture to say that if the voter ID hadn't been upheld the count from Lake county would have put Obama as winner. Not only that the speculation on National TV as to why they were holding up the vote count might be because of voter fraud probably stopped them from giving it to Obama. I notice that right after they speculated that it might be voter fraud, Mr. Obama (and I use the term Mr. as a derision not a compliment)conceded Indiana. I think he was afraid of an investigation. This guy needs to be taken out(legally of course) of this race immediately if not sooner.
I agree this is BS. But the nuns didn't even try to claim that they didn't know. Despite the spin, it's right there in the story: the nuns were told to get valid IDs beforehand. And here's the money quote: One said she "didn't want to do that."
