I would assume the police issued the suspect orders to show his hands, or something else before releasing the dog, but I dont know. However, I cant condemn anyone for instinctively shooting an animal coming after them.Are you kidding? Even when the dog is a police dog? It would make about as much sense to "instinctively" start shooting when a cop pulls you over.

If a civilian orders a dog to attack, its a felony, if you defend yourself against a police dog who is ordered to attack you, its also a felony. SOmehow that just doesn’t play right for me.

It’s a dog. You can paint him blue but he’s still a dog. Nothing more than that. We tolerate dogs in our camps, but we don’t worship them. They are not gods.

Nominate for stupidest post on the thread. Police officers rarely bite, police dogs on the other hand, usually do.
