DENVER - Athletes who bust out their “Free Tibet” T-shirts or raise their fists in a show of solidarity on the medal stand will be breaking the rules at the Beijing Olympics.

What Olympic leaders will do to those who flout those rules, however, is still anybody’s guess.

With the Beijing Games less than 100 days away, the IOC clarified its protest rules Monday, saying that athletes’ external appearance, clothing and gestures would be scrutinized at the Olympic venues.

Run 'em over with a tank, probably.

That China should have ever been chosen to host the Olympics is a travesty.

Indeed. I made my decision not to watch these games 8 years ago. These feelings were only reaffirmed with the recent events in Tibet.

So what are they going to do if say the U.S. basket ball team were to do a raised fist salute in support of the folks in Tibet?
Throw them out? Take away their medal?
I just hope there are many instances that make the chi-coms look like the goons they are.

I enjoy watching some of the events in the Olympics, hate the commentary and political overtones. Won’t even bother this time.

Very good work there Red.

By the way, I have held that China man up as a personal hero since he stopped that row of chi-com tanks in their tracks.
Would like to have a competition between Denver and Peking as to which venue has the bigger riot.

But NAZI propaganda, black power salutes, etc. have a long standing tradition with the IOC.

They said they did it to PROVOKE civil change. Good. Next time let’s have the Summer Olympics in Mecca.

Put that in their pipe and let’em smoke it.
