You are right. What bothers me is hospitals and doctors do not give a price list before the procedure. You have no idea how much you owe even with insurance. Given this I don't think medical bills should be on your credit bureau. They can sue you and prove to the court you owe it but to arbitrarily put a mark on your credit bureau without proof or agreement to final cost is ludicrous.
