Plant's Rights?

Seriously, what would one call a group of people who swore off eating anything that was alive or ever was alive or came even remotely from anything aliveWell, I personally would call them stupid, but I believe the clinical term would be "Dead"

I guess the next thing on their agenda would be for us to depopulate the world of all animals so the plants can be left alone. Then the plants can die because the honeybees are also gone. And the birds are no longer there to spread the seeds. And then there will be no carbon dioxide for them to breathe.

In today's society, the asparagus is more highly esteemed than this baby. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Asparagus on my plate IS highly esteemed; a baby on my plate is an abomination!

While “plant rights” is ridiculous, G-d did give us dominion over the earth but to use it judiciously. I like the idea of just killing the animals we need to kill for our livelihoods/diet/safety and not for the pure killing of them. I also like the idea of treating plants with the same respect: eating what we need, using them as decoration, clothing, other function, but not doing needless wasting of the knowledge and function and beauty of plants. I mean, chopping down the giant Sequoias or plucking the last of a rare wildflower seems wrong to me.
I think we should tread somewhat softly as we meet our own needs. That seems Biblically ordained as well.

Society bend over backwards nowadays to just about any niutjobs demand at the expense of everybody else. These kooks realize that and take full advantage of it.
How wacky doesn’t matter it’s all just a power trip for these losers.

Switzerland joins Belgium, as being among the first non-islamic countries to publicly announce that they welcome extinction by default.
I suggest that we do everything in our power to aid them in that regard.
Just saying...

The Earth is the LORDs, and the fullness thereof. Yet you pledge your allegiance to a flag, not The Lord?
I'm not trying to be belligerent...I'm just a bit surprised by your vehement support of Bellamy's socialist pledge to a flag and country, while also believing that all is due Him.

What's in a name? Sustainability is the latest cultic codeword. And are conservatives going to let the word be grabbed by the left, like so many others? The point of sustainability is a very valid one...the model of requiring growth for success is not viable for the long-term. We just have to be sure to keep the Left from hijacking it.
