Lord Chamberlain’s efforts in the 30s proves that diplomacy works. He negotiated with Hitler and saved England from war boasting proudly, “Peace is at hand”, while waving the non agression treaty he had worked so hard for. Americans instigated war and attacked Japan which forced Germany, a peace loving country, to come to Japan’s aid and fight for it’s own survival in Europe. The U.S. forced England into war with Germany who wanted peace. Oh!! Wait a minute. I just realized that the book I’m reading is my son’s new high school history book.
