By all means, EVERY vote in Florida and Michigan should count!! There can NOT be voter DISENFRANCHISEMENT, that's just un-American. Question: How can a private organisation (the DNC) make decisions that affect the citizens' right to have their vote counted for public officials?

Because it's not a vote for a public official; it's a vote to choose the nominee of that same private organization. The DNC has a right to set its own internal rules.
And I'm not standing up for their decision, either. It has to be one of the stupidest moves by a political organization, EVER.
