They must not be able to condemn private property to turn the property over to private concerns such as shopping mall and highrise developers. Does Prop 98 prevent the government from the latter, while permitting the former? Where is the language of this bill?
Prop 98 only prevents the government from using eminent domain for the benefit of private development. It doesn't prevent them from taking for public use (e.g., schools, parks, roads)

I can just see those toads (all three of them) sitting in a back room asking each other, "What name can we come up with that might make the homeowning taxpayer think we're on their side?"
I have always been of the opinion that individuals or small groups who perpetrate that sort of fraud on the ignorant should be prosecuted. Freedom of Speech does not mean freedom to perpetrate fraud.
