1 Chron 16 is clearly poetry.... your so called proof of a flaw only proves that scientists cannot appreciate poetry. (You might want a refund from your theology course) I assume of course you could make the case that the bible is wrong because the earth is clearly not glad or the fields are not jubilant but then you would walk your argument far beyond the point of absurdity

So then tell me then; what parts of the Bible are to be taken as literary poetry and prose and what parts of the Bible are to be taken as hard scientific facts?

Your argument was not facts vs poetry. It was that the bible was full of contradictions.

Here is more on the issue of the “foundations of the earth”. It may be more comfortable to see it as some sort of elephant holding up a flat plane. For believers it is a promise and for unbelievers it is a judgment.

Revelations tells us more about the foundations of the earth. It is about God’s saving grace for those in the book of life and for the condemnation of those not in the book of life. These things are unchangeable from the foundation of the earth:

Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
