There is “taking the high road”, and then there’s “running a prevent defense”, and that doesn’t do anything but prevent you from winning.

I just keep telling myself, vote for Petraeus. Vote for Petraeus. Ignore the faithless weasel out front, vote for Petraeus.

You starting a write-in campaign?

I struggle daily with the thought of pulling the McCain lever. As an American, in my heart, I don’t want to be responsible for a Clinton or Hussein Presidency by not voting.

But on the other hand McCain opens his dumb mouth and I think what the heck does it matter.

It’s crap like this I think, save my money, take a couple vacations before one of the retards running for President destroys this nation and wash my hands of it all.

I hate to think that way.

After McCain, though, I will never vote for another Republican just because “the alternative is worse.”

Yes you will. 2012. And 2016. etc.

You will do just like most of the others who complain about McCain -- you will hold your nose and vote for him.

And that is what the Dems will do for their party nominee too. Those who say they won't vote for H or they won't vote for O will hold their noses and pull the lever in November.

The DNC knows it, so they aren't going to change.

The RNC knows it, so they aren't going to change, either.

You [the plural, all voters] have been selecting the lesser of evils for decades.

Not suprising because there is growing revolt among some conservitive GOPers.

That maybe an understatement.

Mike Reagan and I had the same reaction to McCain’s act today.

“Michael is disgusted that he would go to New Orleans and condemn the Federal Government for inaction.”

...and yet MacNutJob hasn't the testicles to do something that would actually matter and demand they finish the fence on our southern border.

He bashed Fred mercilessly (so infuriated me!) Then at the last GOP debate he thoroughly trashed McCain. Then he said we have to rally around McCain. Now he’s trashing him again. I can’t keep up!

Meanwhile- McCain knows better- or SHOULD know better about NOLA politics and how they affected the aftermath of Katrina.

Good to see you :)

Its better that Hillary and Obama win because then people would see how bad they are and revolt and embrace Conservativism.

How about embracing conservatism because you value the limitations placed on government by the constitution, Reaganism, freedom and US sovereignty. If the GOP had not departed from these principles, they would be firmly in control of both houses and would not have nominated a man who flirted with jumping parties ala Jeffords.

“He has no special insight just because his dad was a decent President.”

Some might say that today about the sitting President.

I was just getting ready to sign up to help McCain, and then this.

Laverne, "Betrayal" is MacQueeg's middle name. So, why should you be surprised at his doing this in New Orleans? And if you support him, I hope you won't be too upset when he enacts Teddy Kennedy's programs when he becomes The President.

The RNC knows it, so they aren't going to change, either.

I agree with you on this. I don't think that the GOP can be steered to the Right from within. I took my marbles and went home in 1992, and Bubba slimed his way into the Playhou..er..I mean the White House.. for an eight year stay. Now, I will vote for the least liberal candidate but will only work for Conservatives.

Then [McCain] opens his mouth and reminds me.

Bob Dole with attitude.

And no sense of humor...
